Who We Are
Earthbound Artisan is a garden and stonework construction company that is fully committed to weighing the environmental impact of each action. We use this ethic to help us navigate through our processes of design, construction, and management.
Your property is an ecosystem. If that ecosystem is unstable, it’s more susceptible to infestations and pathogens. This is traditionally treated with chemical fertilizers, pesticides and over-watering. But that only contributes to an unstable ecosystem, and ignores systemic failures. It’s our job to help you stabilize and maintain a resilient ecosystem on your property.
- We do not use any chemical or material that’s considered inorganic or could have any negative affect on the ecosystem in which it’s applied.
- Our goal is to minimize the use of fossil fuels in our work.
- Certifications in Arboriculture (ISA), Permaculture, and is Landscape Industry Certified (CLT-E) and a Certified Chesapeke Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP)
What Good is Your Yard Doing?
Your yard can be more than a pretty picture. It can be a farm, a water management system, a habitat, a feed plot, a classroom, and a sanctuary. Your yard can be productive and still maintain its beauty. We’re willing to work with you to get it there, and we’re open to creative avenues to maximize it’s efficiency and productivity.
So ask yourself: What good is my yard doing? If you don’t have an answer, maybe it’s time to give us a call. Already working with a landscape company? Great! Ask them what good your yard’s doing. Are your plants helping the declining Monarch butterfly population? What about the honeybee population? Have they pointed out all the edibles you’re growing and don’t even know it? Or do they spray herbicides on them and tell you to keep kids and dogs off the lawn for twenty-four hours?
There’s a better way of treating your yard, and there’s a way your yard can do some good. Give us a call or shoot us an email, and we’ll help you build your yard into a more natural environment. We’ll help it do good.
